NASCAR Fans and Jeff Gordon

Jeffy is also known as the “Rainbow Warrior” - or at least he was. Not exactly a hick-friendly moniker. And, to be fair, it’s not just southerners. I’m from NH. There’s lots of NASCAR love to be had up there. Although most folks I know are Junior or Stewart fans.

jeff gordon has won all of his championships(4) in a lot less of a time span than it took Dale Eardhardt.Jeff Gordon is the road course king but dale earnhardt has only won 1 .dale earnhardt only won 1 championship while jeff gordon was his competition in the winston cup compared to jeff gordons 4 .dale earnhardt did alot for the sport but jeff gordon is overall far better than him.dale was a good driver ,jeff gordon is an incredible driver that has already passed dale earnhardt in all time wins list at his fairly young age with many many more wins to go ....doing all this when the competion is as feirce as it isw today .those days competition wasnt what t is today ..back then the winner was usually up top two or three drivers ..these days almost anyone in the feild has a chance to win any givcen weekend but jeff gordon still seems to surpass all dale earnhardts numbers and records ...THAT is what makes a great racer ..not being able to win a race on sunday and feed the cows on monday

I will end the argument as of this date which is 6-5-07. Numbers dont lie. 4 championships to 0 championships. Gordon by far is a better driver than Junior but Senior was an equal to Gordon. I do not see Junior winning more than one championship if that many so Gordon will go down in history as being one of the best of all time. As far as being whiney---No one rivals Tony The Whien Bag Stewart.

Iam an earnhardt jr. fan. i am sick of all the people saying that he cant drive better as jeff gordon, well i hate to differ with them.He is just as good as jeff godon, even better.Jeff is a cry baby, he cries when he doesnt win. NObody likes a cry baby.

Well first of all I would like to say that I am a huge Jeff Gordon fan. I guess it just sucks for all you Earnhardt fans are just going to face that fact that he just doesn't know how to drive as good as Gordon. You all know that he is the best driver and has the best car out there. You know good and well that he is one of the best racecar drivers and that he is going to win the Championship this year. I know that he isn't as big as a cry baby as Tony Stewart, Mr. "I wanna see the replay of whos really fault it is." It is almost to funny. I totally agree with MaryAnn, I guess that Jr. is just not as good as his dad was, but his dad did make Nascar, and I guess there has been someone else to take his place now, and that is Jeff Gordon. You all know that he is the best driver, and I think that it is awful that people can be as mean as throwing as much as beer cans and can be really shelfish becuase Jr. isn't as good. Sorry!

Just as every one else I have an opinion. I am a Jeff Gordon fan and have been since he came up to join the big show. I do believe people do not like him because when he hit the circuit he hit strong and hasn't let up yet. I can understand why other fans call him names and throw things, which is very REDNECK, it is because they do not want to admit that he will go down as one of the all time best drivers PERIOD. Earnhardt will always be
remembered and I do believe that he made the sport what it is today, but as everything else changes as well as NASCAR. Pretty soon there will be another driver to try and fill both of their shoes and no one can, but there
will be drivers coming up that we will hate or love. But you can't dispute that Jeff Gordon is one of the best drivers ever and hopefully he will remembered that way.

I hope Gordon wins many more times this year! I am not that big of a fan of him, but like you said, he is very good at what he does and he drives a Chevy, and Chevy has kicked butt this year so far and most of last year.
I had much rather throw beer cans at Ryan Newman, he is the one i truly hate with his arrogant ways and he does drive an old rattle trap DODGE!
I actually don't care who wins as long he is driving a ''Chivoley'' (Chevrolet).

I am a big fan of Dale Jr and always will be. He seems to be having a rough time this year but he will pull through. My opinion of Jeff Gordon is a little different though. He should be considered the biggest cry baby Nascar has ever had. He always gives an excuse and whines when he doesn't win. (Not that he should win anyway.) It is always some other drivers fault if he doesn't cross the finish line first. Do you see why fans throw things at him? Jeff Gordon will do just about anything to win even if it means taking another driver out to do so. I wish he would retire or quit because he has to see that he is not very well liked out there on the race track. But all this is just my opinion.

I think that was a HILARIOUS scene when Gordon was being bombed with beer cans and he was trying to spin out to flee! I laughed all night!
