Energy Drink for the Vols

After the debacle that was UCLA, I have no doubt Vol quarterback Jonathan Crompton will play well against UAB this weekend. The whole team will. UAB is bad.
The Blazers were also a bad team in 2005, but they still gave the Vols fits. UT won 17-10. It wasn't over until Demetrice Morely deflected a UAB pass in the endzone with time about to expire. Of course, the Vols were bad that season too. UT won just five games.
Saturday will be the feel good game of the year for Tennessee. More than getting the plays right, the game offers the Vols a chance to regain confidence. I know, they players and coaches say they don't need it, but the fact is, they do. The Vols could win by 50, and that's a bunch of confidence.
In a way, the UAB game will be like one of those energy drinks. The team will get a boost after sipping on the Blazers. But those drinks carry a downside- the crash that comes after. With Florida, Auburn, and Georgia coming up next, the Vols can't afford that.
