Worse Than 2005

I've been around here for the highs, and also for a few lows. This one could go real low. Worse than 2005.
I don't like saying that. UT is celebrating the 10th anniversary of their national championship season. That was a long time ago. On a night like tonight (it's been five hours since the Vols lost 30-6 to Florida), it seems like even longer.
I'd like to suggest there are signs of hope, like in 2000. The Vols started 0-3 in the SEC that season, and still wound up in the Cotton Bowl. Eight wins and a New Year's Day game in Dallas-- that's the power of Tennessee football. How about 2007? The Vols lost two of their first three games, and still won ten-- and earned a trip to Tampa for the Outback Bowl.
Not this year. I don't see it. I don't see even a small sign of improvement on offense over three games. All I see are upcoming games against a very upset Auburn team, and a pre-season national champion pick, Georgia. Kentucky and Vanderbilt don't look like sure things either.
Worse than 2005? Maybe I'm wrong. But this year, it could happen.

has Fulmer ever been 1-3
