Sign of the Times-- Beating Bama!

I saw this sign outside Neyland Stadium two weeks ago. It's a good thing the Vols weren't looking ahead (like UT fans were) when they beat Georgia on Saturday.  I am out of the office for a few days, but already looking forward to the trip to Tuscaloosa.

The Vols will be huge underdogs to a team that many consider the best in the country.

Stopping Bama isn't likely, but the Vols will have plenty to feel good about over the next week or so-- as they prepare to enter the toughest game of the season.

I've been to Tuscaloosa a lot. Despite the outcome of some of those games-- I never dread it. 

There is no doubt the rivalry has a heated history, but Bama fans actually seem good-natured and treat Tennessee fans with respect.

All that won't have much bearing on the game-- but after a week off-- and a win over Georgia, it will be good to get back in the press box.
