The Smell of Lane Kiffin
Take a whiff on me, that ain't no rose
Roll up your window and hold your nose

The University of Tennessee can't shake the stench of Lane Kiffin.
Eight months after the controversial head coach skipped town, the NCAA has stepped in with concerns over the way Kiffin may have recruited players.
The New York Times first reported the story last year-- UT hostesses making road trips to South Carolina high school games. A few days later, SI.com's Andy Staples provided visual proof with this picture.

There were plenty of questions. The big concern was whether Tennessee coaches had knowledge of, or encouraged the trips.
Kiffin's sudden departure last January moved the story off the radar for many UT fans-- but not for the NCAA. They've been back on campus asking questions. They also want to interview Kiffin.
That's something UT did twice before they hired Kiffin.
The hiring blew-up in Tennessee's face, and the smell isn't going to disappear anytime soon.
