New Orleans Nightmare for Manning

Submitted by Jim Wogan on February 8, 2010 - 5:28pm

This isn't about me. It's about you.

The Super Bowl has been over less than 24 hours and it's been viewed and reviewed from every angle possible. There are no orginal thoughts left to "wow" you with. All that matters, is what we believe.

I still think Peyton Manning is a great quarterback. The greatest?  I think another Super Bowl win would have elevated him to the status reserved for guys like Montana and Bradshaw.

We judge presidents while they're in office. Sometimes, we throw them out of office, but in reality, history is the judge. It's all about context.

I don't think the 4th quarter interception was Manning's fault. But Manning threw it and it secured a Super Bowl win for the Saints. For Peyton-bashers, that is all that matters.

For Peyton fans, it won't matter a bit.

At least for now, which side are you on?

For history, where do you think Manning will rate?

Peyton is the best! His example as a human being is one to be admired and one we would do well to encourage our young to emulate. He is my hero in athletics and in life. Colts fan forever!

I believe Peyton choked in the big game just as he did when he played for the Vols. I think he showed the mentality of a little league football player pouting after a losing a big game. He showed no class and we should be embarrassed to be his fan instead of making excuses for him.

Peyton is a human, can't always be prefect and I think he is a class act..always has been and always will be.

To (not) coin a phrase, it is what it is. We'll live, so will he and he'll go on to great games for and with the Colts.
