Summitt Stunt

Honestly, I wondered whether Pat Summitt was making the right decision. She is, after all, the winngest coach in college basketball. I feared a stately image, earned after decades of hard work, would be tarnished.

But after watching her take the court during the UT-Florida game, Summitt proved once again she knows exactly what she is doing.

The list of major market newspaper websites that ran pictures and articles of Summitt's cheerleading is almost endless. Boston, Cleveland, Houston, San Diego-- places that, in the past, haven't cared a lick about Tennessee basketball, ran the story.

This doesn't mean every coach in the country should jump out there in a zany suit to attract national attention. But it does mean Summitt has the character and credibility to pull-off a stunt like that.

In just two years, it's stunning what Bruce Pearl has done to transform Tennessee men's basketball. And on Tuesday night no one will ever forget what Pat Summitt did to help out.

It was Great!! It is good

It was Great!! It is good to finally see some unity between coaches at the University of Tennessee. We got to see a side of Pat Summit that we do not normally get to see.

I hope they keep up their support of each others individual programs and the university. Finally having 24,000 + at the arena demonstrates what this type of support from the coaching staff can accomplish!!

Keep up the good work!!

I think what Pat did was

I think what Pat did was GREAT!! She showed a playful side to her that we never get to see. She is a great ambassador of Tennessee basketball and she helped to make Bruce Pearl one also! She was very unselfish to share the basketball spotlight with Bruce.
