Season Over In San Antonio

It's 3:30am in San Antonio, 4 hours after the Vols lost their Sweet Sixteen heartbreaker to Ohio State. So many issues. Seeing a 20-point lead evaporate won't be easy.. ever. The Vols were on the brink of the Elite Eight, but their season ends on a sour note.
I had so many people tell me the Vols should run Greg Oden off the court, which is ridiculous really. The Vols really aren't that big a fast-break team. Often times this year I heard Bruce Pearl and his players use the word "patient". Their breaks come from defensive stops and turnovers, and the Vols just didn't get enough of them against the Buckeyes.
They also didn't stop OSU's guards. As I suspected, THAT was the key.
Bruce Pearl is always talking about the next step. For the Vols, the next step will have to wait.. until next year.

Why is it were never satisfied? Look how far they've come in 2 years. I'm so proud of the vols and the coaching staff for allowing us to watch this great year. Keep the good work up and hopefully we will make it to the Elite Eight NEXT year.
