Battle By The Bay (Wednesday)

We will be watching closely how Pinkygate resolves itself this week. After three days of downplaying the injury to starting quarterback Erik Ainge's small finger on his throwing hand, the Vols have finally admitted, it's broken.

Head Coach Phillip Fulmer says Ainge should be ok to play Saturday against California. Former Vol defensive back Fred White told us tonight on our preseason special, that the injury could impact the way Ainge throws the ball. Backup Jonathan Crompton will be ready, just in case. Not having Ainge will be a huge disappointment-- for Vols fans, and obviously for Ainge himself.

We will see, if the small finger leads to a big problem against the Golden Bears.
